This year my parents hosted the family for Thanksgiving. They recently re-finished the living room/dining room, so it was a great time to showcase the new look of the pad. we had a wonderful and plentiful meal, as usual. But there were a few new items included in with the traditionals ~ cranberry jello cupcakes, Boston cream cake, and sweet potatoes. As a child I probably would have NEVER touched something that was orange colored and smooschy, but leaning toward my more adventurous side and knowing how I like squash was quite pleased with them. Actually I really liked the sweet potatoes. 
The rest of the day was spent with the boys playing cards in the dining room and the girls sitting in the living room planning our attack on the stores for Black Friday.
