Happy Halloween

Tonight, Jon and I spent a portion of the night at home handing out candy to the trick or treaters that stopped by our house, then about 9:00 headed to a party at a friend of a friends house. I again wore my basketball costume, so Jon painted my belly again, and then Jon dressed up as a cowboy. I did not take too many pictures, but here are a few...

Snuggie Man & Turd Ferguson. FYI~ Snuggie man was not wearing anything under his snuggie besides a man thong.

GC Halloween Party

So its now Friday and the bun is still in the oven.... But what that also means is I can participate in our company potluck day and Halloween costume contest. Yes, we had a costume contest at work in the Operations department (about 75 people). I had an idea for a good Halloween costume, but given I did not know when and if Weblet would have made its arrival, I was unsure if I would be able to pull it off. Well with no baby in sight yet, here it goes......
What do you think??

So this morning we had secret judges walking around the office checking out every one's costumes. Then at 11:30 everyone congregated near the boardroom to hear who the winners were. The awkward part is our boardroom has floor to ceiling windows, so the judges sat inside the room and all of us in costume stood in front of the windows for them to do a final judging (with the rest of the undressed department people standing behind us watching as well). I made it through round 1 where they came out and tapped people who did not quite make the cut....then it was down to 6 of us. After the judging was complete they came out and awarded the top 4 with gift cards. This it how it shook out....
4. Progressive Girl - Katie
3. Witch - Sherry
2. Ghostly Man - Dean
1. Basket ball Girl - THAT'S ME!!!
My prize for 1st place was a $100 gift card, SA -Weet!!!

38 Week update

Another week has gone by....maybe only 2 more to go?!? I guess only Weblet really knows...
Anyway, at our appointment this week, the doctor was suprised to see me or should I say she was suprised not to see me over the past weekend. She was on call 2 nights this past weekend and was thinking we would be meeting her at the hospital. Negative. Weblet is still cooking nicely, with a heart beat right around 130 still.

Given that I am now 38 weeks and with the progress that I have made thus far, our Dr. swept my membranes when doing my exam thinking that would get things going. That I would say is not a very comfortable procedure, but I guess we'll see what happens...

Pumpkin Carving

While we wait for Weblet's arrival, Jon and I carved a few of our home grown pumpkins in preparation for Halloween. I think they turned out pretty good. :)
Happy Early Halloween!

37 week update

Just a quick update as we have made it another week with Weblet still cooking... We had our appointment today and everything is still on track and ready to go at any time. Now I am more like 3-4 cm dilated and fully effaced, however, I think Weblet likes its home and has decided to stay for another few weeks.

Small Project

So last weekend I finally came up with a good idea to update our bedroom. I "had" been looking for a bedding set for like the past year that would give the room some color, but with the dog going on our bed during the day it had to be something that was easy to wash. Needless to say I have been having a hard time finding anything. Currently, we have a tan duvet that works & cleans really well, so instead of changing up the bed....we decided to change up some of the other items in the room. One being the addition of an accent wall. We had some left over green paint from the basement and there is some green in the wall hanging my mom made us for our wedding (matches a beautiful quilt). So this weekend we moved all the furniture, cleaned up the room, and painted the wall green. The other 2 additions to give the room some color were new throw pillows & rugs! In the end once everything was put back together and in its place, I think it finally made me feel like the room was more complete. The only thing we are still waiting on is a new bed skirt, but are waiting for some fabric samples before it gets ordered.

36 Week Update

So it has definitely been a BIG week for Weblet...here is how our appointment went....
The doctor started out measuring me and at first was a little concerned again because I only measured 32cm. So again, she started talking about getting in to do another ultrasound to make sure everything looked okay & fluid levels were where they should be. Nothing to be too concerned about, but she just wanted to make sure. Alright with us.

Then she listened to the heart beat….about 120-130. So that was fine.

Then I had the Strep B swab test, to see if there is a potential that I have a bacteria that is fine and safe for me, but could be harmful to the baby during birth. We should get those results sometime in the next week.

Then she did my 1st vaginal exam….and the first thing out of her mouth was “Whoa, the head is like right there”. I knew the baby had been head down and in my pelvis since the ultrasound we had at 32 weeks, but turns out that I am already like 2-3cm dilated, like 95% effaced (I think), and the baby is stationed at a +2.

SO because of Weblet being so low and ready, she decided against the ultrasound since that had to be the reason why my belly was not getting any bigger.

Basically she told me to be ready at anytime and to start watching for any consistence in contractions. She even made the comment that she sees only 1 or 2 women a year like me where I don’t really have any complaints through the pregnancy, have mild contractions, and come in already 3 cm dilated. She even mentioned something to the fact that I could be like one of those women who don’t get to the hospital quick enough and have the baby in my sweat pants. Sweet.

So it looks like we might not make it all the way to November 12th.

Part 2 of our BIG week with Weblet was that Jon and I had some maternity photos taken by Cindy Huotari of Sole Exposures. It was a lot of fun and from the sneak peek photos she sent us already, they turned out pretty cool. She will also be doing a newborn shoot for us once Weblet makes it arrival.

Other miscellaneous weekend photos...

Besides the high school reunion it was a pretty low key weekend of hanging out and watching football....what does that mean for me.....NAP TIME! Jon took this photo of my mom, Bailey, and I taking a little siesta Saturday afternoon.
Also, Saturday night Jon and I spent a little time with Colleen, Holly, Jason, and little Maddox. I was making sure Maddox was introduced to his new little Weblet friend. For a while I had him sitting up on my belly as it was a nice little perch for him. :)

Partying like its 1999...

This weekend we went back to Appleton, but this time it was for my 10 year high school reunion! WOW! Sometimes it feels like 10 years has gone so fast and then others looking back it seems like there was so much I have done and some many things that have changed since then. Either way, it was another great reason to head to my parents house and to see all my girlfriends again.

You can definitely tell we are in the prime of our child bearing years....there were at least 6 girls there that I knew were expecting. Check out the pic of Kristin, Becky, and I showing off our baby bumps....I think mines the biggest! (and also due the soonest.)

Here are some fun pictures from the night:

Nursery Update

So we have the nursery all ready to go and ready for Weblets arrival. After my shower in Waseca on Saturday my mom and I got to work on cleaning & organizing everything in the room. Then on Monday Melissa came up to our house and put up the chair rail around the room.
I love it and think it turned out super cute.

Waseca Shower

Saturday morning we had a shower for Weblet down in Waseca that was hosted by my wonderful sister in laws - Melissa and Megan. Again we were showered with some awesome gifts, including a lot of books which both Jon and I were excited about. The one really special gift of the day came from my mom, which I cried when I opened. She had my grandmother (who passed away June 2007) make me a crocheted baby blanket a few years back before she died. It was an extremely thoughtful and precious gift that I can not thank her enough for.
Also during our shower, Melissa had all the little kids do a project and make us a step stool with their hand prints on it. We had to let that one dry so I don't have a complete picture of that one at the moment.
Also, since it was my birthday yesterday they surprised me with a few birthday gifts and an ice cream cake. YUM!
Then here are a few pictures of Melissa, Alicia, and I comparing our baby bumps. Melissa & Alicia are both due in January with their 2nd children. Lots of new babies on the Weber side this holiday season!

Happy Birthday to ME...

Its my last year to live up my 20's...however it has started on a slow note since I am not able to indulge in the adult beverages at the moment, well maybe one. Today has been a pretty good day and has nicely wrapped up a hectic week at work (system conversion). But, anyway, my parents arrived in town late afternoon and we went out to a nice dinner at Doolittles. Jerad and his Jamaican wife, Amanda, joined us as well. (They just got back from their honeymoon, hence her glowing tan).

34 Week Update

It's that time again...another 2 weeks has flown by and now Weblet has been cooking for about 34 weeks. This weeks appointment was another short one, but was reassuring as my measurments are back on track, well at least close to it. I guess this week I am measuring about 32.5 cm and it should be about 34. She was not that concerned as long as we keep on growing. Does this mean we are going to have a smaller baby??? I wouldn't complain. :)
