Twins Game #2

Today we had tickets for our 2nd Twins game of the year. This time it was just Jon, Brad, and I and again it was an afternoon game. This time we ventured down to the stadium via the light rail. It was Brad's first ride on the light rail... For this game we sat in the family section (which doesn't have beer), which is a super great deal. With each ticket purchased you get a free hot dog and soda. Then if the tickets happen to be on a Saturday as well, then you also get a BOGO Blizzard coupon. Who doesn't like Blizzards?!?!?! Awesome!
Check out Brad's teeth coming in... the 2 on the bottom are fully in. There are 2 on the top that have pushed through the gums that you can see and then the 2 top middle ones are just starting to break through as well. This kid will have 6 teeth by the time he is 8 months old. It sure makes for a cute smile!

Golf Outing

Today I attended a golf outing for work. It was sponsored by the IASA - Insurance Accounting & Systems Association. This was my 3rd time attending the event, however, this year it was held at the Hastings Country Club.
At first the weather did not look too promising, as you can see in the photo below, however by an hour in to the game the clouds had parted and we were touched by beautiful warm sunshine. Can you tell I was excited to get out of the air conditioned office?!?
It was a scramble style game, which was a good thing as none of us had a stellar 18 on our own. But overall we used a good mixture of every ones shots through the round and came out 4 over. Not bad. Although there were a few teams that definitely came in under par. Oh well, we had a good time.

First Time Cachers

So heard about this geo cacheing thing from a friend of a friend and finally looked into it a few weeks back. However, Jon and I do not own a GPS, so we were really out of luck. Good thing I knew some people who did!
This weekend we went up to Pam & Greg's cottage in Northern Wisconsin and I thought a fun family activity would be to try out this geo cacheing thing. So I looked up a few easy ones and on Friday night after dinner a few of us ventured out to try to see what we could find.
Turns out it is pretty fun. We found 2 out of the 3 that we looked for on Friday night and did not let the weather slow us down. It was pouring rain upon finding our first.
Here was a photo of all of us 1st time cachers!
This one was from cache #2. It was such a hit that we turned Saturday into a family adventure/competition. We broke up into 2 groups and timed how long it took each group to find 3 different caches.
I think we're hooked.

Meeting Charlie

This weekend we went up to Pam & Greg's cottage in Northern Wisconsin, however, on our way we made one special stop. We stopped in Wausau to meet Justin & Tina's new little boy, Charlie!
Isn't he precious!
It also gave Brad sometime to get out some energy before getting back into the car to finish our trip. Brad and Charlie are about 7 months apart. Tina had just found out she was having a baby when Brad was born as Tina was going to be my doula if Brad waited one more day to be born. Oh how quickly they change.

Target Field

Today was a day of firsts...
First Twins game of the year, first time to Target Field, and Brad's first baseball game. We have been patiently waiting for weeks to enjoy some outdoor baseball. These were some of the tickets we purchased the morning that the single game tickets went on sale months ago. Jesse and Joey also joined us for this game.
It was a beautiful day outside... a little hot for most, but once our seats hit the shade it was perfect. We were in the upper deck, but just to the first base side behind home plate. It was a great view, although I think there are many great views from around this stadium.

Amanda Baby shower

This morning I hosted a baby shower for Amanda and Zeus. I was hoping the weather would cooperate and we could be out on our deck, however, humidity and moisture falling from the sky deterred me from that option. Either way it was a nice get together consisting of some friends, co-workers, and family. Amanda was definitely showered with some excellent gifts in preparation for Zeus' arrival. (FYI~ Zeus is just his nickname)

New Puppy

Mr. Anderson has a new lady in his life... a little lady named Izzy. Isn't she cute? He got her from the Minnesota Boxer rescue... although she does not seem to have much boxer in her. Originally he thought she was boxer and german shepperd mixed. Either way, she is a cutie!
Bailey and Izzy already play together so well. I have a feeling they will be seeing eachother quite often.

Ryan & Jessica's Reception

Tonight was a fun night with friends celebrating the union of Ryan and Jessica. They were married in Jamaica in March, but we declined to go due to Brad being so young and I still nursing. So we were especially glad to celebrate with them tonight at their reception.
Jon and I had a awesome time although we only really hung out together for a little while the whole evening. Since Jon went to high school with Ryan, we both went to college with him, and then the 3 of us lived together for 3 years.... We knew A LOT of people at the wedding!! Therefore, both of us were trying to mingle and chat with as many people that we could since some of them we do not get to see that often, especially the La Crosse crew.
Isn't this a nice shot of the La Crosse boys!

Also congrats to Holly and Chris (aka Duff) who got engaged 2 days after this picture was taken.

While we were at the wedding, Brad had a date night of his own...He went with G.Aunt Christie to Courtney's soccer game in Minnetonka. It was his first outing with out mom & dad.
