These days....

this is how we get things done around the house...

Our little mister sometimes just does not like to be put down... so we have resorted to carrying him around in the carrier. It works much better to get things done when you have 2 free hands!

Mom & Baby Class

After the first of the year I started a 6 week mom & baby class at the hospital on Thursdays around lunch time. I have loved meeting other new moms and being able to bounce ideas and get suggestions from other moms who have babies the exact same age as Bradley.

Since I will be going back to work next week, we decided to do class pictures a week early since Bradley might not be attending class with me the next 2 weeks. All of the babies were born between the first week of November through the end of the year, so they are all within 6 weeks of each other. It has been a lot of fun!

Unexpected trip to Appleton....

This past weekend we receive a call with some bad news....

my cousin Keith was missing after going snowmobiling with one of his buddies, Jay. On Saturday night they left a bar on the West side of Lake Winnebago in Wisconsin and were heading north to meet some people at another bar on more of the north end of the lake. On Monday, while pulling a different snowmobilers machine out of some open water, a dive team discovered additional tracks leading into the open water that seemed to be fresh. Additional search & rescue teams arrived and searched for almost 8 hours. As the sunset that day, our family was given the bad news that they recovered a body, which turned out to be Keith. His friend, Jay, was found and recovered the next day, since it was too dark the night before to continue the search.

Keith was a wonderful man and father to two beautiful girls. He had an infectious smile and always seemed to have a good attitude. He will truly be missed by a lot of people.

Keith and I spent a lot of time together as kids, since we were about the same age. I can remember numerous sleep overs, bike rides, baseball games, playing make believe as kids do, and just chumming around as we grew up. It really makes me think of how fragile life can be and how people can be taken away from you in an instant. Remember to cherish every moment you have with the ones you love. I would have never thought that I would lose my cousin at only 30 years old.

Keith, I know you are in a good place with our Lord and may God bless you and keep you.

Therefore, this weekend we headed back to Appleton to attend Keith's funeral. While it is good to see family and friends, it sucks that it was under such circumstances. The weekend was spent hanging out with family, but I wouldn't have it any other way.

2 months old

Yeah ~ Today our little Weblet is 2 months old!! Boy how time flies....in just a few short weeks I will have to go back to work....I am definitely not looking forward to that.

We received this cute little chair, similar to a bumbo chair from my co-workers....Brad is a little small for it yet....but he seems to like it.
