Memorial Day

Last year we went to the Bloomington Memorial Day parade, so this year I attempted to look online to see if there would be one again. However, I could not find any details so assumed not. So Monday morning after we got up, we decided to hit up the Caribou for a BOGO coffee.... on the way home we swung by the area where the parade was last year and lo and behold there were people in the Ziegler parking lot lining up. So we quickly drove home, all got out of our PJs and into some real clothes, and headed back to check out the parade! YEAH! Brad was super excited to see the band, police cars, "soldiers", and of course the fire truck!

Fun with Friends

Sandwiched in between two 70 degree days was a beautiful breezy 90 degree day. To enjoy the weather and the long weekend we invited Jeremy, Bryna, AJ, Jesse, and Brea over for a cookout. A great day full of fun like always and perfect for an extended weekend!

Light Stomachs

There are some things that happen within the family dynamic that just make me laugh and this was one of those instances. While Brad was down for a good long nap on this rainy day, I made some banana bread. So for afternoon snack we all enjoyed some warm fresh banana bread, oh so good. While we were snacking Camdyn was sitting in his swing getting all red faced and filling his drawers. Once Jon was done with his snack he ran to get the changing pad and laid it on the kitchen floor to change him... turns out things were pretty messy so he requested my assistance holding Cam's legs. Jon can get squeamish about changing dirty diapers and he just finished telling me how sometimes the smell makes him gag, when over my shoulder I look at Brad and he was gagging. He had come over to check out "the situation" as he is always curious to know what it looks like, however the smell got to him as well and he was having a hard time keeping his snack down. Of course I started laughing and told Brad to back up to get some "fresh" air.

I guess the apple doesn't fall far from the tree as Brad got his fathers sense of smell and light stomach. :)

Megan's shower & bachelorette gatherings

Today we gathered to celebrate the upcoming nuptials of Megan and James with both a bridal shower and bachelorette type parties. I say bachelorette type because it was not your typical party all night type bachelorette, but more of an afternoon champagne toast with some fun games & silliness.

Swimming with the Fam

It was awesome that some many members of my family made the trip to MN for Camdyn's baptism. Since our house is not that large... they stayed at the Country Inns & Suites in town, which meant time for some swimming fun!

 

Brad & Logan always have a blast together, but I think both would agree they liked the warm pool better than the big pool. :)
