Mexico

We left the wedding in Appleton about 9pm, made it back to MN about 2am, to the airport about 4am, on an airplane about 6am.... and in sunny Mexico about 11am!!!! AWESOME!

We were quite nervous at first with all the traveling we had to do in a short time frame and the pending snow storm that was to hit MN & WI on Saturday night/Sunday morning. Good ol' Mother Nature was on our side and waiting to start her fury until we left Sunday morning. I think by Monday morning the airport in Bloomington had recorded 18 inches of snow, but all we could see was sand & sun.

We had a great week with our friends Holly and Jason and the rest of the crew. We had a group of 19 people for this trip, most of whom play volleyball with Holly in the Madison area. And since everyone played volleyball we never had a problem getting a game going. In fact we always had enough for 2 teams. What a great group of people it was... everyone got along so great.

Here is some fun from the week:Canadian Bob with his 2 tall Wisconsin beautiesAll the Men.... and all the ladies... Fun on the catamaran cruise

Jason & Jon sporting their mustaches I was the first to try the spinnaker flying ~ awesome

Mr & Mrs. Warsinske

This weekend prior to our departure to warm and sunny Mexico we took a trip to Appleton to celebrate the nuptials of Kelly and Jake. We were able to drop Brad off with Jon's family a few days early and made it to Appleton on Friday afternoon in time for rehearsal. Friday's rehearsal had me worried at first as the Priest who was doing their ceremony did not quite seem all there and VERY forgetful on common wedding practices. But we all had some good laughs and everything went off perfectly on Saturday.

Below are some pictures from the wedding shower weekend and the wedding weekend:

Congratulations to the new Mr & Mrs. Warsinske!

New Job

The last few months I have been pretty slow at updating the blog, but its because we have had a lot going on and blogging sometimes just takes a back seat. Anyway, I have some exciting news that I started a new job on February 11 for BMS Intermediaries, which is another reinsurance broker. My good friend Kris Westall became the Head of Operations and said she would love to have me on board. BMS is working on moving their US corporate headquarters from Dallas to Minneapolis, so there is A LOT to do. It's an exciting and busy move!

Happy hour with a few co-workers on my last day at Guy Carpenter.
