Labor Day Weekend

YEAH - We spent Labor Day weekend full of family fun. Melissa and Emma came in from Seattle on thursday night and stayed until Tuesday. Jon and I both took off on Friday and the 4 of us went to the MN state fair. Emma is such a content baby, although now that she is learning how to walk (with assistance) she is always on the move. Therefore after about an hour or so in her stroller, she had enough and wanted out. We stopped a few times to watch the lumber jack show and to listen to the KFAN guys do their radio show in the early afternoon. Other stops included the birthing center, the dairy barn, and the little kids helping hands area. But what is a trip to the fair without having some fun treats. We had our typical stops at the fair including: corn dogs, root beers, cheese curds, french fries, roasted almonds, milk shakes, and a bucket of cookies. Of course this was not only had by me but shared by all of us. Here are some pictures from the fair:

On Friday evening we headed down to Waseca for the rest of the weekend. There was a lot of activities for the remainder of the weekend including: shopping, ice cream, bocce ball, bon fire, trip to the lake, family visiting, dinner at Yellow Mushroom, playing with the kittens, games, and the water park. The weekend seemed to go by really fast but it was great to be able to spend extra time with Melissa & Emma (as well as the rest of the family). Enjoy the photos!
