Landscaping!

Jon has been wanting to work on this project since we moved into the house. I guess hostas just are not an acceptable landscaping.

There has been A LOT of prep work that has gone on over the past month or so. Jon cleared out all the old stone that was in the front & side landscape, which there was multiple layers of. We then removed a patch of concrete on the side of the house between the side door and the front door. He went down to Owatonna to discuss & purchase plants from Jack's Landscaping, where he used to work in the summers during college. He brought a whole truck load of plants home with him on this trip.

Once everything was planted, we had 17 yards of mulch delivered. Yes, this is A LOT!!! But, he wanted to get a good 3 inch base on everything and we were doing the landscaping almost all the way around the house.

Bailey was playing Queen of the mountain on the mulch pile.

Jon's parents also came up with an additional load of shrubs and extra hands to help push all the mulch around, which is a process and ended up taking us all day, BUT..........

The final product was worth it!!! Check it out!
